It's not a memory lapse my friend we are like a computer harddrive , we,re at capacity , tired and in dire need of a defrag .It's there ya gotta shake it loose sometimes .

The first time I heard the term sled used for a motorcycle was in the late seventies. I used to hang out at an old Harley dealer in Alexandria and he called all bikes sleds. I sure miss that shop. It was about 1000 square feet and mostly used for working on motorcycles. He kept 2 or 3 used Harleys and 1 new one now and then by the front windows to sell.

don't know the origin of the word but for my 70 yrs scooter has been used and my father in law always called them motors
