I kicked a little block of wood out of the road at about 55 mph while wearing sneakers 25 years ago. Hurt like a b*tch.

Ride in any kind of hail storm, if you think rain hurts......from now on if I see really dark clouds I'm looking for a covered place quickly, what looks like mere rain can fool you.

Mine stupid pass was to try a high speed run with set of chaps on. I got bike up to 140mph and the wind ripped my chaps off. They were flapping like two flags in the wind behind me. So I slowed it down and stopped fixed the chaps and aint gonna try that again. I was riding my new HD Niterod Special and was gonna see if it would do 150mph. That is what the speedo said I got it to 140 and had plenty left in the bike but the chaps said no way. Plus was having trouble keeping my feet on the pegs.

In my younger days (and before cell phones) I was comfortable splitting lanes on the freeway in heavy traffic.

No more.

A lot younger, and drunk. Met a girl in a bar that was about as drunk as I was. Took her for a ride around town on the bike, with her sitting on the tank facing me. Just plain lucky there wasn't a cop around.

I'll never try to stand up on a bike again...I wish I could blame it on youth, but I'll have to go with plain stupidity.
