Agreed. NO correct way to mount a plate vertically. A license plate is a privilege, not a right. It's made to be mounted horizontally, so our LEO's can read it.
As others have mentioned, check your state laws, as this is an issue that varies from state to state, but if you do any traveling, why set yourself up for a hassle just to "look cool?"

Probaly right about the laws. For some reason i dont think its legal. I talked to my harley dealership and they said alot of people mount it verticaly. He said it depends if the five O wants to ticket you or not. He did say when he does the state inspection that he passes all the bikes with it mounted vertically or horizontally. So i should for obvious reasons just put it back the way it was designed to be.
O and it isnt to look "COOL" it was to try and move it in as much as i can without mounting it on the rear fender. Im not 12.
