Harley Extended Warrenty?
#11
I think the biggest factor to consider is how many miles do you ride? Next week will be exactly three years I have owned my current bike. Right now I have 98,500 miles on it and will pass 100,000 by next week.
I bought the RPM one extended warranty from my local dealer because of the miles I ride. The warranty has way more than paid for itself, and I have three years left. My dealer does not hassle about any warranty related work, they just do it. I would buy it again.
OTOH, if you ride 5-10,000 miles a year I don't think you would ever recoup your money. Also, if you trade in every couple of years there would be no reason to buy it then either.
Every situation is unique, and you have to decide, based on your habits, if it is beneficial for you to buy it or not.

A buddy of mine bought the extended warrenty and it paid off big time. He had several problems with his bike and the latest his motor blew up. For 1K more to the warrenty work he has a HOT 103 stage 3 build on his 2006 Ultra. Its too hot of a build for me but he wanted it.
