Default Heated Hand Grips vs. Heated Gloves

What is your preference? Heated grips, or gloves? I am moving towards buying better winter gear and heated is the way I am going to go. Not sure if I want the grips or the gloves. The grips have the advantage of always being on your bike. SO they are always available. With the gloves, you have to have them with you at all times to use them.

The gloves have the advantage, I think, of more effecient heat dispersement. The heat is within the gloves and running up each finger, whereas athe gloves are an outside heat source that is also constantly being bombarded by the cold wind.

Anyone who has one or the other -- or both -- I'd love to hear your expierences with the products.

I've read on this site that some folks have had problems with heated grips being unreliable. I haven't read anything like that about the gloves so I'm leaning towards a glove purchase myself. You might want to do a search on the topic.

I have Gerbings gloves. I like them. I have the older style, Classic glove. They are kind of bulky, but manageable. Now, they have a thinner glove, the G3. I would have bought them if they had them at the time I made my purchase.

I have had both, there is no comparison. The heated gloves are the best by far.

I have the Harley heated gloves (made by Gerbing) and they work really well for me. It may be my imagination, but they seem to keep the same level of warmth no matter the actual temperature. They are always "just right", not too hot and not too cool. I run the wiring underneath my jacket liner and down the sleeves. Easy connect/disconnect.

The Gerbing gloves are great!

Wifey & I have gloves, vest, & sox. We get to use them at least 2 or 3 times a year! Winters are tuff in TX, ya know! [8D]

My dealer actually talked me out of spending money at the dealership. Told me the grips will short out on me. Happy me, saved $245 bucks.
