Solo seat or Fastback

Solo seat or Fastback
I am ordering a new C&C seat next week from Dr. Vtwin. I am stuck between the solo and the fastback. I have an 08 Fatboy. I think I like the looks of the solo better but am not sure about the comfort. I am wondering if it gives any back support at all? Can anyone that owns or has tried either comment? Which do you think looks better? It is rare I carry passengers and could just toss the stock seat on for that. I don't know if the fastback seat would be very safe to carry a passenger on anyway...

for Solo riding,, I made my own rear supporter out of the stock pillion seat after I bought the wife the tourning pillion....then covered it to match the bags.
I tried to ride with just a bib,,,, but when I got on her I felt like I was sliding off the rear end of the bike.
Didn't like it at all and needed something more... with the stock front seat,,, which I also love.
Having shattered a vertebra in my back yrs ago this supports me and can ride all day riding plus I love the looks of it..

you wont get any back support from a solo , but depending on how your bike is set-up you may not get actual back support from any seat unless you are leaning back or at least straight up. I run a solo , wife runs a fastback . only advantage I see with a fastback is when you need to push off backwards it gives you something to push against.

Their solo has a lot of back support for a solo. Take a look at the curve on mine. That is a lot more back support than any seat that is near flat across. Take it from someone who actually has the same seat. LOL. I have never run tehir fastback so I really don't know about how that fits. My seat is theri LoPro solo which is only available for softails without the 200mm tire.

The C&C is far more comfortable than the stock solo. The stock solo is flat in comparison. Also for those interested, the C&C LoPro solo is only made for 2000-2006 softails, 1984-1999 softails, and 06-- present with 200 mm tires. No LoPro Solo available for the 06-10 Deluxe and Heritage for some reason.

i have the c&c on my fat boy, definitely not the most comfortable for distance, i have done a few 4 and 500 mile days and you feel it at days end but a few beers takes care of that. great seat for 1 and 200 mile days, no back support. i have a mustang solo on my street glide with backrest it's a great seat with good back support.

I have the fastback on my streetbob and love the support it gives my tailbone. I have done several 1000+km days with no problems at all. C+C make a great product as far as I am concerned and I cant imagine you would be disappointed with either choice.
