I have the same. I have thought about a full-face for rain and cold, but since my wife doesn't like to ride in bad weather, I just use hers. Can's imagine wanting a helmet collection.

 

I have two, one 1/2 and one 3/4. I take both on the road. Some days it is just too hot and I wear the 1/2 helmet.

 

two, one full face helmet for the winter when you want to cover your whole face or when you have an ugly girl on the back and you have to cover her whole face. and another for the summer when john law requires you to have a brain bucket.

 

I'm guilty of having about 8. Couple non-dot, a FF, a 3/4, and a few DOT halfs.

They just collect over the years. Some came with bikes when purchased. No need to toss 'em out, never know when someone might need one.

This is not counting the helmet I wore as a child which is still sitting in my parents garage.

 

I have just one full face helmet for 3 years for now. I'm happy with it.

 

I've got three half-helmets...a silver metalic, flat black, and flat dark red. I plan on getting a full face someday for cold weather riding, and possibly one of those old school 3/4 helmets like I used to wear back in the day. And this is coming from a guy who rode helmetless for 25+ years.

 

Have 2 ff helmets, but would like to pick up a half helmet for some of those hot summer days.

 

A person "needs" exactly zero helmets.

I did not read all posts so if this has already been said... ooops.

I can see how it would be easy to collect helmets. Try them on before you buy all you want but it takes some miles and quite a few of ons and offs to see if you really like it. End up with 3 just to find 1. Cant take them back so either keep them or try to sell yourself.
