Put a set on,MT front MU rear, last April.

Have 10k on them with lots of rubber left. The 402's & Commander's I had used before were worn out at 7-7.5k .
With 51k on the scoot I've gone through some tires.

Wear and wet/dry traction plus the looks of the tire are great.
When the time comes I'll get another set.

All I've heard is good about the E-3's. Going to get one for the back needs one bad..How many of you have just changed one tire and left the stock tire on till it wears out?

Yep, that be me. Can't see taking off a perfectly good tire.

Because everybody I know who has replaced old Metzelers with new Dunlops tells me that Metzelers are junk.

I LOVED my E3s on my dear departed '06. Very instinctive turn-in and great wear. My new bike doesn't have them. Yet.

I changed both but now have a E3 on the fron and have been through a K591 elite II and now a Night Dragon and getting ready to put a Michelin Commander....

Cuz the mileage on Metzelers suck. From what i can tell it's about 6000 on a Metz..I am looking at atleast 8000 ...Had to go pick up a Goldwinger buddy of mine... had a Metzeller and at 5000 miles he called me to go get him 200 miles away with my trailer...tire was shot.
That was enough to convince me not to get one.
I have got Decent service (Mileage and performance) from all the Dunlops i have used...
I have 3 Michelins in the Garage that i got for 180.00 free freight so i will be using those until they are gone...
It is a personnal choice i guess...

Seen too many Metzlers come apart, the Avons I had didn't stick real well and the E-3's,,, the best I've ever ridden. That's why.
