Default Help with Chrome Front End confusion please

What's the difference between Chrome Front End Kit and Chrome Lower Fork? Dosn't FLSTC come stock with upper chrome fork sleeve? Why would you need whole kit? I think I may be really misunderstanding this. Thanks for help.

The kit is just that. Everything you need to chrome out the front. Lower fork is just the lower fork.

I do believe the Heritage models in the last couple years have had the chrome fork covers like the Deluxes and that's reflected in the specific kit you buy for your year bike.

If your bike does in fact have a chrome fork cover the kit for it won't include it.

You can find new in the box kits on ebay marked down dramatically from the price at dealers. I bought one for my bike for $125 shipped. When the wife had an accident we ended up putting them on her bike instead sans the chrome fork cover which she already had.

When I recently decided to put a set on my bike I checked on ebay off and on for awhile and the best price I could find was $250 shipped. There are some vendors on ebay selling aftermarket chromed Harley forks as if they were from the factory so I checked with my seller to make sure mine were sealed factory new. Turned out they were. The kits include everything you need including new fork seals and screws.

The chrome lowers are just that, lowers. The front end kit comes with the chrome cow bells (Uppers),They look like chrome on a stock bike but they are not. They are polished Stainless steel. If you put just the lowers on you will be able to tell the difference between the two.The kit also comes with axle nut covers ,covers for the top tree bolts and a few other things I am probably forgetting.

the cow bells are nickle plated and polished from the factory. you will notice a difference if you just do the lowers. i did and had to wait through the weekend to get the bells and re-assemble.
