Default Are all full face helmets now designed by Luke Skywalker these days?

I'd like to pick up a new FF but just a basic smooth round design like my 14 year old Shoei. All I'm finding have Star Wars looking molded air foils or air vents or Darth Vader looking chins.

it's this little thing called technology, while you were dozeing off for the last 14 years helmets are now lighter, stronger, more aerodynamic, safer, provide more visibility, flow air better, and look a lot cooler.

if you want a piece of crap brain bucket cruise ebay im sure you can pick something up for 10 bucks or so....

Lighter...main reason is materials, not shape..so this is irrelevant
Stronger...main reason is still materials, not shape, so this is irrelevant
More aerodynamic...OK....the star wars look wins here
Safer...eh...since we're talking about full face...I'm gonna say the shape doesn't matter much here either..it's due to advancements in material
Provide more visibility...hmmm....questionable...this is all relative to the face cutout
Flow air better...OK...star wars shape may win here
"Look a lot cooler"....I'm gonna say FAIL! But..I suppose the darth vader look is subjective, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

In order to save lives....part of the deal with helmets is...the rider (and passenger) has to accept a helmet...mentally. So...it at least sort of has to visually agree with them. If they hate the looks of it...they're more likely not to wear it....

shape is not irrelevant to weight. My shoei actually feels lighter when the bike is moving fast. Shape is very relevant to how the helmet weighs on your head when at speed.

A good looking ff helmet is getting harder to find....You have to search a lot......

There are crazy looking ones out there, but there are still new FF that look pretty much like they always have. Maybe just a little ridge rather than completely round, but not bad at all. I just looked at Shoei site and the qwest doesn't look bad at all.
If you think that looks like darth vader, well I wonder what you think of any pick-up built in the last 10 years.

Shoei, Arai, Shark all make traditional looking, good quality ff helmets.
I'm missing your point.
