Biker Culture or Harley Culture?

I think you should added the rider culture, it is about the ride, don't patches, tees shirts, branded leathers or guys that pose to brothers. I just ride and only have one brother
Enjoy the ride
Enjoy the ride

Well, here is why I believe Harley commands the following that they do. The obvious is the look, sound, & feel. Then comes the comeraderie & lifestyle. Then, things like resale value, aftermarket, etc.
Yes, I love those things about my Harley, but there are a few things that I like that no one seems to notice:
1. Everything on a Harley is big, heavy, & substantial. The shift lever is as massive as some rice kickstarters. Harleys use metal where everyone else uses plastic. Controls & levers don't snap off or break like they do on rice.
2. Everything happens slowly on a Harley--I have heard ricers shift through all 5 gears before I am in second gear. Their gear levers SNICK into gear; Harley levers CLUNK into gear.
3. Rice starters sound like sewing machines; Harley starters are very automotive in nature.
4. Ricers are Miatas;Harleys are Cadillacs.
5. Low end torque is addicting; high revs are not.
6. There is just something about an American Icon that nothing else can compare to, even if it is better.
7. Today's Harleys ARE cutting edge...the only thing that isn't is the engine configuration, and there is a reason for that.
The lifestyle? Harleys are the only vehicle that command the following they do. Corvettes come close, but let's face it. If a guy wants a Vette & can't get one, wouldn't he be just as happy, or even moreso, with a Lamborghini, Cobra, or Viper? I'm sure he would.
I don't think a Harley rider would be happy with a similar substitute.
