It is a guide they give HOG members....which costs $45 a year....but I'll sell you my guide for $50 plus shipping and that way you don't have to join HOG.

let see if I got this right..... you want something only available to members of a particular organization, BUT you don't want to join.

I DON'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT!!!!

wonder if Green Bay will send me one of their Super Bowl rings. I want one and don't see why I have to actually be a Packer or play football.

while I don't participate in a local HOG chapter, it pays me to maintain my National HOG membership. I get a 10% discount from my local dealer, (last year I got about a $75 break with this) and I get a 18% discount on my AT&T cell phone (which pays for the HOG membership in 3 months).

They do sell the guide. It's the same price as a hog membership. Or you could just buy a road atlas for a fraction of the price.

Casper: FWIW, if you do any traveling and stay at Best Western a HOG member card will save you $12-20 per night. I joined HOG for life this year for $400 and have already gotten $40 in discounts. In 3 years it will have paid for itself in hotel discounts alone. Plus I get an additional 10% on parts at my dealer. My company picked up the tab for the membership and roadside assistance because it covers 3 cars and 2 bikes for $49 a year which was $51 cheaper than what they were paying State Farm.

I wouldn't join HOG at any price. Well, it cost me $20K actually. I've been a member three times now. Never renewed once. I asked the dealer this time for the $50 and skip the membership. They said yes, gave me a $50 gift card. Dummies signed me up anyway.

Guide will be in the mail to you shortly. Hope you enjoy it.

We stay at Best Westerns a lot. We've always received at least a 10% discount, and I've never had a HOG membership. I just tell the desk clerk that I own a Harley.

HOG membership gets you the same discount at Best Western as a AAA, AARP membership. They're not treating us as special as HOG wants us to think. Twice last year I stayed at a Best Western and they had no idea what HOG or a HOG discount was. But that's not surprising as all Best Westerns are independently owned. So the HOG discount is not a corporate mandate.
