I just finished the Iron Butt Bun Burner gold 1500 miles in 24 hours. I had done the saddle sore 1000, 1000 miles in 24 hours last summer. not an easy ride. gas & go all the way 14 gas stops. finished with 15 min to spare total milage 1527 then had to ride 110 miles back to las vegas.

 

I left ElToro California and drove my bike to Baltimore back in 76 before shipping out. I went non stop from Goodland Kansas to Baltimore but the best I remember it was more than 24 hours but less than 48.

Anymore, 300-400 miles is about all my boney butt can take. Been off bikes for 10 years so I'll have to get back to you when I get my next ride....soon I think

 

newburg n.y. to Abingdon V.A. 652 miles ...

eventually covering 21 states. round trip 3 weeks, 7000 miles.. what memories for the future.)))))))))))))

Wow now that is an accomplishment. I did the regular Bun Burner 1500 miles in 36 hours and it was rough. Can't imagine doing it in 24 hours. My hat err helmet is off to you sir!

 

Years ago, left Orlando at 8:30am Friday, pulled into driveway in Toronto at 9:00am Saturday.

1300 miles

took me days to recover, never again.....

 

Way back in '75 rode from Denver to Las Vegas a bit more than 750 miles.


In the last 7 years my longest day is about 570 or so...

Dropped the bike in St Louis in the rain and wife broke her leg. Left the bike at Airport and flew home with the wife. 2 weeks later flew from California to St Louis and rode home solo in a weekend.

Parsons ks to san antonio 700 mi wish I had worked up to that . Butt hurt for 2 weeks.

 

Thought my 640 was something till I read the 27 pages of 1k's here! Did 640 from east of Houston to either Wichita or Topeka KS., can't remember which...on the way to Sturgis in 2006. Riding an 02 Heritage. It was hot, August of course and we were glad to get off, was a damn good cold beer that evening though.
