Didn't want the giant ostentatious logos, skulls, eagles... Found this HD jacket ($450 in store) on c/l in new condition. Across the back shoulders is embroidered "Harley Davidson" in somewhat reflective gray thread--fairly low-key.

This jacket is extremely well made (in China) of heavy materials, has flexible shoulder & elbow armor, a removable liner, and is so comfortable that I found myself still wearing it a full hour after returning from a week-long road trip! A great find.

Not a fan of the skulls, flames and eagles. My lady bought me a very nice Harley gray and black "cruiser" jacket with logos on back and front ($400) that's nicely tailored, well made, includes some armor and very comfortable.
H-D isn't the only logo crazy company in motorsports. Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki (to name three) have their name all over their gear, particularly race stuff.

Off from what you posted but I just picked this jacket up $275 shipped. Nice quality and made in the USA. Guy that runs the show name is DelRay. Heres a link.

Hmm, you know? You may just be on to something here Brenn.
Someone not wanting to look like a rolling billboard looking like someone not wanting to look like someone looking like a rolling billboard. It boggles my mind.

Well, Harley has this marketing department see, and they've foisted this whole HD "lifestyle" on a lot of folks who think they have to wear every piece of clothing with a HD graphic on it to be a "biker." The ones that fall into this category look like a NASCAR driver coming down the road with all the logos. Whatever floats your boat, but I learned a long time ago not to wear anything with a logo on it unless they were giving it to me for free, or paying me to wear it. Since that ain't gonna' happen I wear generic everything.

By the way, except for the factory racers most old photos of bikes and bikers I've seen, there not wearing too much that say the brand on them. Most where in Jodphurs (sp?) and a heavy sweater or even a coat and tie. That logo thing seemed to come into prominence in the early 70's when the motor companies decided they could increase their profits by licensing and selling this junk.

You "learned" ?? Does that mean that all who wear stuff with logos on it dont get the "lesson"? Hmmmmm. If I were to "learn" what you learned, I would have to give up my NFL jackets, shirts, hats and my golf hats, shirts, golf bag and such. There is nothing to "learn" here. Either buy stuff with logos on it or dont. I could care less if I am giving someone free advertising. I dont want to look like NASCAR either! I am proud to wear my stuff with the logos on it.... otherwise i would not have bought them. I just keep it down to a minimum for my personal taste.

I Bought this one from the local dealer for less than 1/2 the listed price of 500. I too was looking for a jacket that didn't have any large logos and this one fit the bill.

I must say that I find it funny... if you see a Harley in the parking lot... it is usually not to hard to find the owner. Just look for the head to toe HD logo gear. I like to wear a HD jacket, but some go riding with HD on every piece of clothing they are wearing. To each their own but i use to crack up at how easy it was to spot the owner.

Whenever someone seems to be overly concerned with what I'M wearing I usually ask them if I'm on suddenly on an episode of "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy".

Yep, I learned it when I started racing sports cars. Lot's of guys will come up to you, usually just after qualifying, or before the race starts and ask if they can stick their company's logo on our car. They didn't want the hood or fenders or anything, just a small logo like all those "associate" or series sponsors you see on NASCAR front fenders. They would promise to bring by a bunch of their "energy drink" or whatever. Only saw about ten percent of the stuff promised. So, I got to the point that except for stuff already on the vehicle, like Harley-Davidson, or Ford, not much you could do about that. But if you wanted me to wear additional logos than there was going to be a quid-pro-quo, and it was in advance. I don't even let car dealers put those little dealer logos or license plate frames on my vehicles. YMMV.
