Was at the University the other day, there in front of the main doors to the business building is a Goldwing parked in a Handicap spot. I thought to myself, what kinda POS would park his bike in a handicap spot, lo and behold he had a handicap sticker on it. Didn't see the rider, gotta wonder how handicapped he was.

Depends on where I'm at, here in Nashville they have Valets everywhere I always ask nicely and with a smile...that and a great tip works! There are a few other places that I do, but only because I know 1. That it's not a problem because I've been before. and 2. I'm NOT blocking any traffic in or out of the building.

If I'm at say, walmart, there is a huge fire lane running the length of the store and right adjacent to it. It must stick out 80 feet. I park in there. No one has said a word, plus, it is right below their cameras. Aside from that there are usually hash marked areas I try to park in but never a handicapped.

Always park wherever I want, (feel most comfortable). Never had a problem.
Many times I get a compliment on the bike from folks walking by on the sidewalk.
My one concern is a small child touching the hot pipes but that can happen in
the parking lot as well.
