Protecal for parking right in front of a store?

I find it to be self important when folks do that. You've got or should have insurance. The parking lot is for vehicles, the sidewalk is not reserved for you!! Really don't care how important you think you are, or how special you think your bike is, I thinks its just rude, and I hate rude behavior, and will for sure point it out to you when the occasion presents itself. Just don't feel there is any need to be that uppity.jmho.

...Where you live, it's a state law that specifically prohibits it. Here is a list of all the places it's illlegal to park.
Stopping, standing or parking is prohibited:
Stopping, standing or parking is prohibited:
- on the roadway side of any parked vehicle (double parking).
- on a sidewalk, crosswalk or within an intersection.
- between a safety zone and the adjacent curb.
- beside or opposite any street excavation or obstruction if your vehicle would block traffic.
- on any bridge, overpass, railroad track or within a highway tunnel.
- on any controlled access highway. A controlled access highway is one you may enter or exit only at certain points.
- in the area between roadways of a divided highway, including crossovers.
- on a paved roadway or highway outside business or residential districts when it is practical to stop or park off the roadway. In an emergency, you may stop and park only if there is a clear view for 200 feet in each direction. Turn on your emergency flashers and make sure there is enough space for other vehicles to pass.
- at any place where official signs prohibit stopping, standing or parking.
- in front of a public or private driveway.
- within 15 feet of a fire hydrant.
- within 20 feet of a fire station driveway or crosswalk at an intersection.
- within 30 feet of a STOP sign, YIELD sign or traffic control signal.
- within 50 feet of the nearest rail of a railroad crossing.
- on a highway between sunset and sunrise unless parking lights are displayed in front and rear or you are within an urban district where lights are not required. Headlights on parked vehicles must be dimmed.

Only a complete ***** like you would think a badass is someone who parks a bike on the sidewalk or the hashlines in a parking lot. You'd better stay on the porch, little dog.
Were you BORN without *****, or did your Mommy just neuter you young in life?

Like I said, not everybody can be as badass as you. I'll just have to hope that one day I'll be a big & bad enough dog to park on the sidewalk.

This has gotten kinda fun. I rescind anything I said earlier, as I was being a crab-*** at the time. Things that other people do that doesn't affect me may make me shake my head, but in the end it isn't any of my business. My standard lines are, "You gotta do what you gotta do," and "You gotta believe what you gotta believe." The thoughts behind those lines have gotten me through 55 years of life, so I see no need to change them now.
I did get a ticket at freaking WalMart 30+ years ago by a townie for parking in a fire zone. I was in the yellow striped area. The judge chuckled at my protestations, then took my $50 plus court costs. Perhaps that is why I no longer do that!?

Or being as how you don't own a Harley, you could just quit lurking on a Harley forum, and head on back over to your favorite metric nanny site...
You know, where everyone always wears their helmet, all the protective gear, have quiet pipes, don't park on the sidewalks, and never color outside the lines because someone might get offended...

I'll bet the cops disagree with your legal assumptions.
