Hard to say if that's the real reason the buyer backed out of the deal or if he found something else wrong with it.
Some time BS is hard to see through, to bad it's so far away may be you can get some one who's closer to check it out.
Some times when I'm lookin to buy something I'll have a buddy of mine go check it out on also to see if we get the same rundown about it.
Good luck

That reminds me of the taillight warranty - when the seller can't see the taillight the warranty is over.

Already jumped. Called them this morning and put down a deposit after the sales manager assured me I could get it back if I don't buy the bike.

I'm hitting the road tomorrow, and my test ride will include swinging by a local indy shop for a quick once-over.

If this goes as planned (and nothing ever does) I'll post pics and the whole sordid story tomorrow night.

I saw it today.

My brother and I both talked about how, for the price, it would be a fun project bike for the two of us and something for my wife to ride. Wish I'd found it first.

That warranty reminds me of a truck I bought from a friend I asked do I get a warranty he said it is warrantied till you take it home I drove that truck for over a month parking it at his house at night so it was still under warranty he finally put it on his trailer and delivered it to my house to end the warranty,we had some good laughs about that.

Sometimes people want to back out of a deal and come up with any excuse, who would really expect a warranty on a 99?

THIS is why I started looking here when I first started getting the itch. I lurked for a while, and then joined and started asking questions. And monkey sammitch aka Matt took time from HIS day to go check it out before I made the road trip down.

And THAT's why I want a Harley instead of a metric.

Wait. Is this a "girly bike" comment? I thought that was Sportsters? (Kidding, guys.)

You may have seen posted elsewhere ... I bought it. Was too tired to post last night and too busy riding and taking photos today.

Thanks for all your help, everybody. Matt - next time you're in Columbus, look me up - I owe you one!
