Default Ride Bell Etiquette

I'm looking forward to getting my SG out of storage in a couple of months and doing some riding. My question is about the ride bell from my old bike. Is it acceptable to swap it over to the SG or is it best to leave it for the next owner (will be selling it in the spring)?

if you're going to believe in the superstition... as long as the bell was a gift, it follows the rider. no the ride. switch it.

and btw. I ride with a bell.

the eye loop that holds the bell to the bike with a string has broken. i now carry my bell in the tourbox...do i need a new bell? the old one is a gift from a good friend and i will keep it always.

Can I hang the bell from my wrist? Will I be covered while walking from my bike into the watering hole and back again?

Keep your old bell. Right after you sell the bike give the new owner a bell of his/her own.
That way it is a gift and fully complies with the legend. It will also give them a good feeling about the deal.

I think its best not to worry about such useless crap such as gremlin bells.
O.K. My own opinion here and I probably should just keep my mouth shut.
