LeatherUp stuff on the way, reviews to follow.
Finally have some LeatherUp stuff on the way. Hopefully it will be here by the end of the week. I will be receiving:
Jacket
https://www.leatherup.com/site/product?pid=53284
Boots
https://www.leatherup.com/site/product?pid=97546
The jacket will be my primary cold weather jacket. I simply couldn't justify spending $500+ on a leather jacket when this one has such positive reviews and is only $130. No, it's not made in the USA. I'll get over it.
The boots, assuming they aren't too hot in the summer, will be year round gear. I particularly like the styling of the boots. I don't like engineer boots or boots with buckles, badges, studs, or other such doodads. Nor am I crazy about the styling of a lot of the sport touring boots on the market. I also wanted boots that were weather resistant and easy on/off (no laces).
I'll update this post with my impressions of the items. Hopefully I nailed the sizes on the first attempt.

I guess it must all depend on what you buy. I purchased a pair of Classic Motorcycle Advanced Engineer Biker Boots by Xelement Footwear from Leather-up for 70.00. It was the first time I had purchased from them, and they are one of the best and most comfortable Engineer boots I've ever purchased. I've spent 3 times that amount in the past and the boots were either terribly uncomfortable or never lasted very long. I've had these boots for well over a year and wear them in all kinds of weather every single day. They frequently get wet, and yet have heald up perfectly and are comfortable almost from the get go! I have no complaints.

I have purchased two items from Leatherup. I am satisfied with the items I bought. One was one of the naked leather jackets and I've had it for a couple of months. I have no complaints with the jacket.
I also purchased a pair of the naked leather chaps. They are as advertised as well, though I do have one minor complaint... I still don't look like the guy from the Village People (that's sarcasm if you fail to recognize it). Honestly, the chaps had one busted/broken snap and it was the very bottom one which will be cut off as the length is way too long for my inseam. Otherwise I have no complaints.
As for buy American, I do when the product is one I want. I actively work towards protecting this country, but that's a political discussion and has nothing to do with purchasing clothes or accessories. It's very unlikely the taliban or the Norks get their money from retail sales
I didn't think any of the other comments were that onerous or should have been removed (politics are everywhere and I'm a grownup these days). As I indicated, I'm happy with my purchase from Leatherup and I did submit reviews to them regarding a delivery issue and the snap. The delivery on my jacket was a couple of days longer than most folks experience, but only a couple of days is not worth a rant. Are the jacket and chaps up to par with Fox Creek or Langlitz, or Schott, or any of the other higher priced products? I don't know as I can't afford that level of expense at present - I'm trying to keep my Road King in bling, but I am satisfied with the jacket and the chaps and they are as advertised. I do agree with the sizing issue, they do fit smaller so you need to order one to two sizes up from your normal size. This issue is well addressed in most of the reviews I read.

Edit: Wow I didn't see all the posts before I posted, I am active AF since 2000. Going on 11 years now and I buy items that meet the quality I am looking for and fit into my budget. You can't always buy American, even alot of American products are garbage and fall apart, break, etc right after you get them. At the end of the day, you buy what works for your needs and quality of product. I have bought many things from Leatherup but I really wish they would ship my items through a differant shipping company and that is my only complaint with them....

OP, looking forward to your review. I am especially interested in the boot review as I have been eyeing those same boots. Oh, and by the way, LeatherUp rocks. I have several things from them, including two jackets, several helmets, gloves, engineer boots, and leather overpants, and it is all really nice stuff. The sizing on the jackets is way off though - I recommend ordering two sizes larger than normal. Helmet, gloves, boots, and overpants sizing is right on.
Edit: Actually, I am looking at a very similar boot that I like better...here is the link: https://www.leatherup.com/p/Mens-Mot...ots/42279.html
