Lane is doing exactly what his lawyers have advised him to do, say nothing.

 

Automatic suspension is the law in NC too, but that doesn't stop an attorney from getting it overturned. Laws are one thing, but
court interpretation is the final say.

 

I view the North Carolina decsion a way to speed up the Florida trial, without dragging on that case. The larger crime always wins out over the smaller.

As for OJ, I'm not defending him by any means, but it could not be proven that he was even there, where as Mr Lane was caught in the act.

I'm sure if OJ wasn't there, he knows who was.

Lets see, Lane was driving with a blood alcohol level of .192, was passing cars illegally due to double yellow lines on the road, sus drivers license and killed someone as a result. I don't think any lawyer should defend that....GUILTY. Sad day for the motorcycle community.[X(] Tim

This is typical.......had a friend who attended the funeral in Indiana where a DUI drver went left of center and killed 2-3 amd maimed another 2 or 3 and he was high on meth and coke........out on $400 bond.........[:@]

 

There are a lot of good organized rides out there for great causes. Maybe we should start having organized rides in every state against DUI drivers. Is there already an organization called BADD (Bikers Against Drunk Drivers)? If so they could support the rides. We could invite the Discovery Channel and they could play the tape of the rides before one of Lane's Biker Build-Off's, to show what a loser he is.

In California, the police have the ability to take your blood by force if you refuse a chemical test. No that does not mean you can punch the fella in the nose, but you certainly have the ability to restrain the individual and stick a needle in their arm to get your evidence.
