1200 Custom Sportster, with "Fattitude"... (Mid-Winter announcement)

Funny how the trend is for the Sporties to get same-sized front and rear tires while the bagger trend is going toward tall wheels with low-profile rubber. Meh. I always preferred the same-size front and rear look on all motorcycles, so I think this is great. If they hadn't made my bobber-lookin' Forty-Eight first, I probably would have bought one of these to bob myself.

I like the new 1200 Custom. Very cool looking with the big front tire.
As for the H-D1 Customization program, I could take it or leave it but there are a few notable options in there that really make things nice for the purchaser:
1 - Mini-apes, pullbacks or drag bars. If you bought this "stock" and had the pullbacks and want mini-apes, the cost at the dealer would be well over $500 with cable changes and parts and labor. They charge $180 for this. That's a good deal.
2 - Mid-controls or forward controls. The cost to put on mids in the customization program is $180 where-as a kit to do this is about $300 to $400 for the kit alone. Another good deal.
3 - Blacked out engine option. This costs $250 on the customization program but if you asked your dealer for this on a bike I'm sure it would be far more expensive than that. Cool options you have with this program.
