i'm running wires through some wild 1 inc road king bars and i briefly contemplated trying to do this without removing the tank and all lines and connections. but i realized it will just add more pain, so i removed the tank completely first before going forward.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...boy-carbd.html

i have more to add, the wires had to be extended so i soldered all 12 with 16 guage primary wire extensions.

as for the main fuel line you could just take it to NAPA and they'll sell you any length for a couple bucks.

I never mess with anything with any plastic content in cold weather. It's too susceptible to breakage.

Sometimes short cuts cause problems. I am lucky enough to have a couple of friends who are HD mechanics. I now ask them if there are any tricks or pitfalls when I go to do something I haven't done before on either of my bikes. They has saved me some potential problems and expenses through his knowledge.

Yeah yeah yeah, the line was brittle to begin with, it was breaking apart when I took it off. Its a $45 part mind you. PS, my garage is heated.

It's funny ya say that cause I just freshly broke my fn patio umbrella tonight. Just what I needed.

It's not Coolbreeze's problem though with the heated g-rage.
