Bob Ward

I knew Bob. He was a Motorcycle funeral escort business owner and rider. The funeral procession he was escorting was heading west on Poplar Ave. near Byhalia Rd. when a vehicle traveling east tried to turn and hit the motorcyclist. He was 67 and died on the scene.
Prayers to his family.

Here's a question for you. Where you are, are the escort bikes actual licensed emergency vehicles like they are here, or do they just have the yellow "warning" lights? Here in AZ, all motorcycle escort bikes must be licensed emergency vehicles, which means red and blues and a siren. They are also allowed to "break" an intersection and shut it down. All vehicles, except emergency vehicles on an actual emergency call" must yield the right of way.
