I'm considering a pre-owned Fat Boy with Black Pearl paint. Owner sent me pics but I can't tell if its more black or more gray. Owner says combo, can't really explain it. My Dyna was Vivid Black and I don't want black again, hence my concern. Bike is two+ hours away and I don't want to waist time to go look at another black bike. Can anyone clarify the Black Pearl color for me? Thank you.

No, it is the same color as a black pearl...NOT grey.

 

yes it is a really dark charcoal grey with quite a bit of color range in it in the sun. I think it is a really cool color on the right bike.

 

my RG is black pearl, and I love the color. Like all the pearls, how it looks depends on the lighting. on an overcast day, it does look like a dark gray metallic. However, in sunlight, it comes alive and has multi-color metallics imbedded in the paint, red, green silver, etc. may not be for everyone but it's one of my favorite stock colors.

 

Black Pearl is one of the other colors I liked, but Black Pearls are gray and so is HD's color of Black Pearl....it's just a very dark gray wit metallic in it.

 

Oh shiat...I think I am color blind....

 

Nice color IMO. I've never owned a bike that color but I don't think it will have the swirl marks showing nearly as bad as the vivid black.
