Yeah it's for sure gray, not even sure why they use the word black with it? It is a very nice color.

Haven't seen the whole thing look green yet, just portions. Sometimes it has lots of colors like oil on water. Most days dark metallic gray is a pretty good description.

The only time my Black Pearl Ultra is black is when it's in the garage. In the sun, it can be gray, green, maroon, burgundy, to name a few. Check the color of the fairing and left saddlebag in this shot....

That's how I would describe it. I had two Camaros back in the 80s, and they it seems like Chevy called it charcoal metallic. Almost didn't buy my scoot because I wanted vivid black. Now glad I have black pearl. Looks great in the sun. I get lots of compliments. Only bad thing about a black pearl bagger is they are everywhere. I think HD offered this color for 5 years or so. Go to a rally, and you see black pearl everywhere you look. Almost as much as you see vivid black. . .

Just according to how the light and what kind hits it. Sometimes it will look black, other time it will look dark gray. Up close in the sun, lots of tiny mutil color sparkel.

It's not as fast as vivid black, though.

No it's not. It's faster.

If Vivid Black was really fast, nobody would know how vivid it is, would they.

My '06 was Black Pearl. I wish they'd still have offered it for my 2011.

It doesn't.

I'm partial to it. It is dark grey but a very unique grey. cleaned and polished it has depth that most colors do not.
