I wear double H logger style. Comfortable riding or walking. On occasion I will break out my vintage nasty feet for a poker run or such.

One day while at Bobs clothes stores....they had a sale on some Skechers. I picked up a pair of their black Pilot ankle boots. Wow...wicked light, comfortable..very comfortable. So for 60 or so bucks I picked up a pair. Love 'em.

Some other Skechers mens boots here, some taller ones if you prefer higher boots.

The good: cheap, light, comfortable, great sole for gripping the road surface
The bad: most Skechers are made in China. I didn't like that fact, but at the time I didn't have much cash for a pair of good boots....bought this pair on a quick impulse..and they are good.

I live in my Red Wing 699 loggers 16 hrs a day 365 rain, snow sand, mud etc. For me they are very comfortable. I hike over 40 miles a week , work and ride in them. They have saved my feet many times from injury, rattle snakes and cactus. Been wearing Red Wings for over 30 years.

I've got two pair of HD made-in-china boots, one pair of wolverine made-in-china boots and one pair of RedWings. The HD and Wolverine boots look like new even though I have had them several years. They look new because I never wear them. I only wear the RedWings. Best boots I have ever had!

+1 on DoubleH. Been wearing their 12 Inch AG7 Work Western boots for years, for riding and in town. They're very comfy and they're very well made.

This is what I wear comfortable to walk in, look good in jeans or slacks, my feet stay dry and tall enough that my jeans don't ride over the top. Sidi "On Road" Gore Tex boots http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...Tex-Boots.aspx

I also wear Bates. Very comfortable and priced right. I'm using the lace model that have a side zipper for easy on and off. A lot of LEO's wear Bates.

I bought a pair of Red Wing mega-toe boots last year to replace my worn out boots. I love these things. VERY comfortable to walk around in, I find myself wearing them most of the time whether I am riding or not. Waterproof, NOT insulated, lightweight, and comfortable for my wide feet.
