Major complaint with Fox Creek Leather Custom Jacket
#92
With some of you people....there is just no satisfying. Seems like there is always people out there ready to criticize the poor bastard that has the guts to start a thread.
Bashing? I hardly think this is bashing! On the contrary, I think that guy was incredibly polite and he even compliments their quality! He writes a complete sequence of events and even posts pictures! Are you F**king kidding me!?!
I hardly think it matters how many posts the guy has. So what… now there’s an initiation period? This is not the forum section for saying “hi”, would it have made a difference if it was his second post? Nah…some of you just feel the need to rag on people.
I personally think the OP did a very good job at describing his experience. He obviously put forth some effort and after all….. it is his thread!
Well done Just Trails, let me be one of the first to say; Welcome to the forum!
I’m sure that as with most people that have come aboard here, you probably lurked for a while before making your first post. And if that’s the case, then you already know that there are some really descent people here with much information to share. But along with that, and as well as any other forum, you get the people that have little to contribute in anything other than criticism.

Noting how many pages there were and the reputation I know Fox Creek has I read the OP's post first and observed the date. I have one of their fine jackets and chaps, very high quality. I do have a minor issue with a waist snap wanting to come undone but upon a leisurely summer visit (I live just over an hour away) the nice girl said bring it by. Nice ride from where I live.

I buy all my Vanson's off of EBay and have come up short or long in some cases. If it doesn't fit, I relist it and usually move it without losing a dime. I finally figured out through trial and error what size Vanson actually fits me and I'm all set now.
I doubt I'd custom order any type clothing leather or otherwise without being fitted on site but that's me. I'm a small business owner and deal with customers face to face and make things right regardless of who was right or wrong. Restocking fees are BS and a company as profitable as Fox Creek could well absorb the costs as the profit made on the sale and the ultimate re sale of the misfitted jacket will wash out in the end.
I guess it's a lesson learned for the OP and I hope everything works out.

BTW, ya'll pay way too much for leather jackets, chaps, etc. I have a Tour Master 100% leather jacket (good quality) I paid $110.00 for 5 years ago and it's holding up just fine.

5 years isn't exactly enough time to be bragging about it "holding up just fine". In another 20, if it's still as good as the day you bought it like a Vanson would be, that will be something to brag about.
