Default 87 Elecrta Glide Carb

I have a 1987 Harley Electra Glide I'm fixing up for a friend so he can sell it . It runs trerribly and gas pours out of the hose that comes from the float bowl and drains fuel on the floor after it has been shut down. I'm looking to overhaul the carb but don't know what the manufacturer is of the carb. Does someone out there know what the carb is on this bike?
Thanks!

Go ahead and pull it. It'll be stamped on the carb. Otherwise it'll just be a guessing game.

If it's origional, it's most likely a Keihn. If it has been upgraded it would be a Mckuni or a Harley cv-40.
The reason fuel is pouring out is because the float is not pushing the needle into the seat to stop the flow of fuel from the tank.
could be dirt in the way or the float level is set too high.

Or the gas got gummed up and stuck something.

The new gas blends are getting old real fast.

If it is a stock carburator,it is more than likely a Keihin(1976-1989).You can find a rebuild kit for this carb at Dennis Kirk,p/n h170503 & tuning tips at www.nightrider.com.
