Battery tenders
#21
My bike come with the pre-wired battery pigtail. My wife's bike never had that and the first couple of years used an electronic selectable battery charger. That was a pain in the *** cause the side cover had to be removed, and the factory clips are marginal. I then got the HD auto tender, and it come with the pigtail to connect to the battery, which went on her bike. Soooo, during the winter I will simply plug it in 1 bike for 2 weeks, then switch it to the other bike. It's great cause I don't have to remove seats or covers.

Every couple of weeks in the winter I will plug my tender in. Before I leave the garage, the green light is on so I unplug it. I changed my last battery after 5 years and put it in my riding mower. It's been working there for two summers without the tender. Batteries lose less charge in cold than they do in heat.
