In my opinion, your opinion could have been delivered without the snotty attitude. I can picture you doing the "Church Lady" Superior Dance while you spit out your views.

Don't own a gun so no carrying and have never ran in a situation where I needed one. Though I am for concealed carry and believe it is a good thing. If Wisconsin allowed it, I would consider taking the class and getting a gun, but that would still be up for debate.

Several people have said that, but it's kind of obvious. The people who ran into a situation where they needed a gun and didn't have one are mostly no longer able to post about it, since the very definition of "needing" it is being in imminent danger of death or serious injury. I guess there are some around who survived being shot, stabbed, beaten, etc., when they couldn't do anything about it, but I'm not itching to join them.

I also note that in this thread, a lot of people who carry guns claim that they had to use them or at least threaten to use them.
If you want to read the stories about the people who weren't carrying and got into one of these situations, just read the obituary page.
Quite a few claim that they did so SEVERAL times.
But none of us who DON'T carry have ever been in a similar situation. Even once.
Draw your own conclusion, but it's pretty interesting to mull over, isn't it?
