Nope, have never had occasion to even think about using it, knock on wood. I'd never just pull it out to try and divert a problem either. If it got to the point I thought I might have to draw it out we've gone way beyond the point of no return. I'd of tried everything including running first, but if it came out of concealment it's gonna be fired.

As a civilian no. And if all goes right I will never have to use it.

As a piggy-back on this thread, I'm curious as to what would be a good option to carry. I have my conceal carry permit, but no carry yet. I ride with people who do, should the need arise (which it hasn't, luckily). I'd like to get something before there are too many more bans on 'arms'.

• Something small, maybe even snub
• Easily concealable
• Semi-auto
• Holster locations?

Any suggestions on a carry for riders?

I like my sig p232. Not the most potent pistol out there but does what it is supposed to do. Very small and easily concealable. Has decent stopping power with Hydra-Shok ammo.

If you pull it out, you had better be willing and able to use it. Otherwise you might as well have a club.

To start, no I have never had to use it. Came close a couple of times but it never came out.

Dad always told me to carry 24/7 or guess right. So I do.

When riding, I either pocket carry a small auto or cary a full size 1911 in my vest pocket.

I carry a ruger lcp .380 auto in a desantis nemesis pocket holster. Holds 6 and 1 in the chamber. You can carry it around in your front pocket and not even realize you have it. Oh yeah, it weighs under 10 ounces. I also have a crimson trace laser on it. The pic below is what it looks like with the crimson laser.

Daltrey, that is tiny! I'd love to have a CCW permit but here in CA you have a better chance of being elected for pope than getting one.
