When I look at that picture, I think of one thing: Ducati Monster SLAYER
That would be badass if Harley returned the Sportser to its roots and turned it into the true modern street fighter of the Harley line.

I think it'd be cool to make the Sportster a little more Sporty and the v-rod seems to be doing ok. Most likely there just slowly adding water-cooled bikes to the lineup, too many models at once would probably hurt sales. In a couple more years I'm guessing a water-cooled bike will be added to the touring family.

I don't really like the look of it. If all the sporties are going in that direction then my next bike will be a low rider.

I don't care for the way it looks. And, honestly, I would never buy a water-cooled bike. Too much plumbing that can leak, and would be costly to fix.
Cheers!

I don't get it, all the metric makers are trying to look like Harleys and now the Harleys are trying to look like crotch rockets. If you want fast and sporty you have the V-Rod, if you want crotch rocket style you have Buell. I guess i'm getting old enough now that resistance to change is there.

the problem i have with all of the water cooled bikes is how filled up the space on the bike looks. it is hard to explain, but part of what makes a harley look good to me is the minimal look of the frame around the engine, you see light through certain places. water bikes fill up every nook and cranny with hoses, pipes and larger jugs to accomodate the system. it may perform better, but i sure don't go for the looks.
just my humble opinion.
