Doesnt look water cooled to me. Actually it just looks like a sportser R with a fender job and some pipes.

As long as the MOCO keeps some air-cooled v-twins around for the diehards, I don't think any attempts to add a little technology to their ranks will hurt. As an example, nothing would interest me more than a V-Rod touring bike...ain't saying I'd buy one, but I'd sure give it some thought.

I'm another for not liking that exhaust. Part of the harley is the look, and the pipes on this sportster make it resemble any other rice burner on the road. I don't mind the watercooling yet, but I'd say it would be nice to preserve the look of the sportster, or at least a fairly gradual change.

We may know more within the next week or so. Did anyone catch the phrase, "...spied testing in America just days before its official launch at the Cologne show next week.." in the article?

Eventually, probably before 2020 is my guess, all Harley's are going to have to be liquid-cooled just to meet EPA regulations.
The V-Rod may or may not have been the greatest bike ever made, but its goal was to introduce liquid cooling and get people used to the idea of Harleys with radiators.

I don't care for the way it looks. And, honestly, I would never buy a water-cooled bike. Too much plumbing that can leak, and would be costly to fix.

Cheers!

So true! Whenever you see a Jap bike they always have a trail of fluid behind them. Water cooled anything is just a silly idea.

You know after thinking about it, I guess Sportsters should follow the future instead of the past. At least this will keep the Sportster in the lineup for another 50 years! Tim
