I have a set of Kury ISO's with the throttle boss. First off, the grip size on the Kury's are perfect, not so small as to cause my hand to cramp. Second, the throttle boss rests nicely under the outside of my palm so I can keep a constant throttle with little effort. Some I have seen reverse the throttle boss so it sits on the opposite side of the throttle, might give that a try but I like the Kuryakyn.
Same here cant beat ISO grips with throttle boss.

what is wrong with the stock friction brake on the throtttle?
I set it to hold the throttle position , but not tight ,just enough to allow me to move the throttle..works fine , can ride hands free,
dont see a need for anything that forces me to keep a hand on the grip

I use the cruise mate throttle lock. It was relatively easy to install. doesn't look to bad, is easily adjustable on the fly, and works well. If you get one che=ck to see if they are including the drill bit and tap in the kit. The sizes on the drill bit and tap were not common ones that you can find at Home Depot, Lowes, or even Sears. I found them at Ace Hardware, but had to drive 10 miles out to get there.

I use the Kury adjustable rest on my grips. Small & out of the way & does the job. The larger plastic throttle locks just get in the way.
I also have the cruise buddy on the 09 & a simpler one on the 06 to replace the star wheel. Actually the 06 has a lever that attaches to the star wheel. Both are well worth it as cruise controls.
