Default Redline in Tranny or not?

I'm getting ready to do the tranny and need some input on redline for that. First off, what is the grade of oil, is it heavy 75w-90 gear oil? Is it worth the extra expense? I know there are numerous threads on thi subject, just looking for a few opinions.

It is said to work like 70/250 but is rated as 75/90 gear oil, It works well but some say regular amsoil 75/90 severe gear lube does better in the harley trans. one thing I didnot like about redline is its looks like pepto-besmol.

I run the redline shock-proof, and am a happy guy. To each their own.

I run the Shockproof heavy but wouldn't be afraid to use the Amsoil that was mentioned either. I just wouldn't use 20W50 Syn3..

RedLine Shockproof Heavy Duty here also. Been running it since the first change. Have friends that run amsoil and we all would run either or...
