Mine has more of a rumble than a pop on deceleration. I like it.

Dealer Stage 1 ECU flash just brings it back to a factory lean condition. Add fuel management. I have a PCV in both bikes & it's simple to use & you don't have to spend 400 on a dyno everytime you change something. Fuelmoto is a good choice to purchase it & will send a new map for free if you make a change.

Decel pop is bad? When I down shift and let off my throttle, mine sounds like a semi that ahs shifted to a gear too low. It scared me the first time.

You don’t have to know anything about tuning with a PC V or a Thunder Max, it does it for you and, as others have mentioned, you don’t have to get a dyno or pay for a new map if you change something else.

I like the Thunder Max as it completely replaces the HD ignition. The Power Commander V with the self tuner is in the same price range as the Thunder Max but adds a lot of junk in a small area. Also, I never got a PC III to map correctly, the Thunder Max cooled the bike right out of the box and the popping went away after the third start cycle.

Mine popped real bad, I was running very lean. Had it dyno tuned now it runs like a champ and no popping on deccel, but it does have a nice rumble when letting off the gas though
