Interesting thread - I live and ride in TN and have never been pulled over, but if I had a single vehicle accident, I wouldn't be surprised to get a ticket for being the "at fault" party.....
Maybe I'm too used to drinking that TN koolaid, eh?
I think a fact that we all have to face is that all local and state governments arelooking to pad the coffers a bit because most of them have spent themselves into oblivion. We have no inspection fees here and we would think it an outrage to have to have one, or to comply with emission standards like CA. Where the Guvment is concerned, I'm always looking over my shoulder because those guys want to put their hand in my pocket.
