Stat over. Step 1: Are you getting a good seal when you put the cv back on the manifold? If it's sucking air, it won't work.

alright well for those of you wondering i got it all fixed. Since I did everything up here in college i didnt exactly have all the tools I would need. although I cleaned the carb, the ports the best i could, I didn't have any compressed air. well turns out one of the air ports on the face of the carb was badly blocked, probably from that shitty ethanol fuel residue sitting in there while i was rebuilding the engine. One shot of compressed air and all the crap came flying out, put the carb back together, and double checked the float leve, carb tuned up in under 15 minutes now its running brand new!
