Default carburetor adj.

I have a 2005 XL1200C 33000 miles rebuilt the carb new kit & new vacuum pistion still pops & spits on acceleration is the screw on the bottomside on the intakeside of the carb. Is this the low speed jet and do you adj. it out 1 1/2 turns I can not find this info in the manual.

You got an intake leak. Ckeck carb/intake and intake manifold to heads connections. That screw was probably capped originally, but mine is two full turns out right now.

i replaced the carb intake & the two head intake seals. the carb has the screamin eagle kit

Wouldn't hurt to check them anyway. Spray a little WD-40 or carb cleaner near the joints when it's running. If the rpms change, it's leaking.

Don't know what's in the Sceaming Eagle kit, but from what I remember of modifying my own:
180 main jet
45 mid range jet
#29 drill used at the bottom of the slide, to slightly enlarge it.
lighter spring in the slide.
plug removed from back intake side of carb, two full turns out (maybe even three).
Check the diaphragm that's connected to the slide (under the top cover of carb). Very easy to pinch, if not seated properly. Good luck.
