I remeber their moto was something like if you have a $10 head wear a $10 helmet.

 

Afreind of mine had one back in the 70s. went off his bike a 90 miles an hour slid on his belly for about 150 ft and slamed into the curb. Cracked the helmet severly but he survived with only realy bad road rash onn his stomach when his leather slid up. Destroyed helmet stayed on display at a local motorcycle shop until it closed. Chin gaurd was almost completly worn off.

 

I remember them well. I bought a new Triumph Bonneville in '76 and the dealer gave me a deal on the helmet...can't remember how much but it was a great deal at the time. Really cheap. And he gave my buddy who was with me the same deal. Mine was gray, but I also remember orange ones besides the white ones. It really was a comfortable helmet. I had it for years. Seldom wore it however after the helmet law was repealed in Minnesota in '77 or so.
