Shipping bike from US to Canada
#21
Just check Riv Canada for models that need changes. They will do the recall notice for you. Harley apparently has all there recall notices online so they check themselves, but make sure the bike has already had them done before coming up to the border. I have heard that some of the dealerships won't touch the bike unless you do what they want (protect there own sales)

AJ....How did you make out with Deeley? I'm bringing in a 2010 Street Glide and read the same on the RIV website. Riv says the tail lights have to be changed but every newer model US SG for sale in Canada have no modifications done. I know my mechanic just asked me if I wanted the stickers on my US Softail speedo and I said no. I have also read on other forums you can do the entire process without Deeley.

I shipped my 94 Softail from SC to MI with keyboard shipping. Went across with the truck and trailer and picked it up, did all the importing myself. Being over 15 years old, the bike was not subject to a RIV. Paid my taxes at customs and I was off. Saved thousands over buying it here. How close are you to the border? Doing the importing yourself will save you some serious money.
