I've seen people mention in a couple of posts about their painted derby cover. Can you paint a derby and make it last? Is there too much heat for it to stay? I'm working on some ideas, and need some input on this.

Don't know about the paint, but there is a member of the forum that does some badass engraving on them. Hes doing one for me now. His login ID is STORY808.

Yes I've seen the engraving and it is some bad-*** stuff, it's not what Im looking for. Unless I had it engraved and then painted it.

I meant to mention in my OP that the design I want to paint on it, I want to match the color scheme on my bike
How do you get powder coat paints in Harley codes?
Good coaters can match it or come very very close, particularly on a Derby. Tell them what color and year the bike is and you will get a nice match for most colors.
