Any long-term damage from Xieds?

nightrider.com sells them. And they may be just some wires, connectors and resistors but they are the correct wires, connectors and resistors to do the job. Some have removed them when they did more extensive mods and went to a PC or other tuner. When that happens you can find them for about half price. I paid full price and have been happy with their performance for 30,000 miles and would readily recommend them to anyone that isn't doing cams or other such mods.

When i put slip ons on my bike it was just too hot, i put the Xieds on on it seemed to cool it back down. It also took the surging out of it at constant speeds it had. We also have a sportster that im going to put some on before spring as well.

I put 02IEDs from nightrider on my 08 FLHT 2 1/2 years ago 70,000 miles no problem. The 02s aren't quite as rich as the XIEDs but still made a world of diff. stock but slip-on VH mufflers.

I've used the IEDs on two bikes and the XIEDs on two bikes (two Sportsters and two Dynas). Have had no problems and the Dynas are able to run in sixth gear smoothly at 55 mph. Plugs have always looked good. They seem to do exactly what the Nightrider website claims.

I have the Xied's on my 08 Ultra and it did cool it some, not as much as I would have liked, but did make the super high sixth gear on the 08 usable at less than 75mph. I have about 20K with them so far and have had no problems with my slip ons and big sucker intake.

+1 lol... resistors. about a $1.50 in parts. Yeah, they'll cool down your engine and suck more gas. Can't control them given rpm and load, which is what a ecm does. But hey, it's your dime and your bike, so if you feel good about running them, that's really all that matters.
