The cowbell is one of HD's trademarks. I left mine on when I replaced the stock horn by 2 horns behind the saddlebags.

Dude, it's only a horn cover, not some icon of transportation history. Only pics I have of mine are two crappy cell phone shots as I was really taking pics of other things to show acquaintences.

Buckinfitch,
Thanks and yes it is a cowbell that's just been painted. I need to black out the mounting bracket it behind it still. I got it off ebay but darn if i can remember the site now.

I had a theme going on that side of my bike:

I drilled a couple of holes and grabbed the emblem from my Dress Blue cover. I am thinking of finding a brass bezel to put behind it.

iffen/when I ever decide to do a swap...
it'll be the original cowbell cover painted with the "Eye in The Triangle"
logo that was on Jim Bronson's 1969 XLH 900cc Sportster in 'Then Came Bronson'

I lost the cowbell and added a nostalgic round cover...then added one of the glue-on emblems from HD.

Just ordered a new cover from badass. It has a HD skull in the middle of it, so no logo trashing!!!!
