Definitely an improvement, what make are the 13"ers?
I don;t know the brand... they're imports and came out of the Road Iron catalogue.

Cheers!

You're going to have to be careful to sit up straight when you see the man. In Ontario bars that high can cause you some grief.
I've got two friends here in the north that had to remove them. One got ticketed the other just a talkin' to.
City police may not bother you, but the OPP will.
Been through a couple of seasons with the bars and have never gotten a second look from any LEOs. I even got pulled over by the OPP for loud pipes, last summer, and the guy never batted an eye about the bars. If I do get any hassles, I'll treat it as I do the pipes - pay the fine and keep the bars!

Cheers!

That's a sweet looking job!

I also am interested in doing this to my wide glide. What brand bars did you use and how is the finish? Where did you get your extensions?
The bars are imports out of the Raod Iron catalogue. I don;t know what brand... the extensions are Harley items.

Cheers!

Looks great. I'll admit it though...how is the wiring inside the handlebars? I don't see any difference in the before/after photos. (In the wiring department that is...) What am I missing?

Clammy - how tall are you, just asking as I'm fixing to get me some mini-apes and don't want to get too short or too long. I'm 5'11" and just want my arms enough up to make for comfortable ride, without making a fashion statement. Looks good, and thanks for the tips on rewiring the bars, etc.

Thanks!

If you look closely at the before pics, you'll see the wire harnesses running down the outside of the bars.

Cheers!

I'm 5'9. At 5'11, you'd probably be good to go with 16 inchers!

Cheers!
