I kind of did the same thing.. Power washed the wood siding on my house with the bike in the garage, door closed. Never hit the garage door but just doing the areas around it i guess the fine mist made it into the garage. Well the cleaner in the mist settled on everything. I found it by getting on the bike and feeling it on the paint and yup had a cow too. Well four clay bars later, got all off and yes after a nice buffed wax the bike looked fantastic. I now keep a package on hand in the garage all the time.

Best way to tell how much grime is embedded in the paint before and after claying is to slip a plastic ziplock bag over your hand to feel the surface. Try it.

Clay bars took some kind of overspray on my pickup off in just a few minutes. Highly recommend it.

Never used it before... sounds great!

Does it work just on metal, or on tour pak's, too?

If a clay bar doesn't work, a claymore definitely will!

It cleans any painted surface. Works on glass, too.

I've used the Mother's clay bar kit (comes with wax and lubricant spray) on many vehicles, and it is noticeably better than waxing alone. I once used it on a 10 year old truck that had never been waxed, and the oxidized paint that came off was a a little startling at first, but it looked almost as good as a new paint job when I got done.

Heard of it before but not tried it, think I will now.
