Lcd oil dipstick question......
#13
I have one on both bikes and have had no problems. My experience is if it reads error, you have too much oil in the reservoir. I've learned when changing the oil, if my bike takes 3 qts., to pour in 2.75 qts and top it off later after riding. There is always some oil left in the bike after draining and putting in 3 qts over fills the reservoir. Check your oil level manually. Even if it's just slightly over, the electronic dip stick will read error.

Had mine for about a year on my '08 RK, the only problem I had was that the battery lost contact which I figured came from vibration but opened it up and tried to make sure the battery contact was tight.

I had one on the RG for two years, always worked. bought a new one for the Lo Boy December 09 and it has worked fine. . . . it's in the garage now with the cover on and a battery tender . . . . will let you know in the spring if it's still working . .

the earlier ones (pre '07?)....there was a stipulation that you had to TWIST the
gage while removing it. Not just ROCK it back and forth. The newer ones screw in.
Mine works fine so far.
