Springer Front end Handling?
#21
Let me clarify...I would never seriously suggest it.

Maintenance on the fall away and greasing the bearings is every 2500 miles, but rocker maintenance in my manual says every 10,000. I love the way mine rides, especially slammed with a 17 in rear wheel and 16 inch front. 200 mm rear tire makes high speed cornering more difficult, but not a big deal.

That dosent sound bad! I can grease the bearings myself. Id probably learn how to do the other service things myself too! Sounds like just a matter of getting the tools? If i do trade my train in on a crossbones im looking at a 2011 sedona orange one. It looks sharp!

All I know about the newer ones are is everyone I know who has owned one has gone down on the bike or didn't ride near as much as they used to . My personal experience with them is dated to say the least mid 70's and I bucked two them on long *** choppers I had , they were squirrelly as hell on a good day for me .

mine seems to handle just fine, although lots of people tell me about the bad handling, or the expense of fixing, course those people never seem to ride springers?? its like when everyone tells me softails handle badly ??? I just ride away thinking compared to what?? because my springer softail seems just fine! but it does squeak sometimes.

I have to agree. I just talk em up cause I have one and don't want everyone to know what a dumbass I was for buying it. Only reason I still have it is that no one will buy it from me cause they all know what a piece of crap it is. I think they should stop making them and destroy all the ones they haven't sold yet.
The only thing I ask is that you pay the shipping on it. Deal?
