what happened to all the ohio swapmeets
what happened to all the NE ohio swapmeets.i have gone to the ohiopenn swapmeet in brookfeild oh/yankeelake almost evry year since 94 when i started driving, there was one at a mall by brookfeild oh,one at the akron fairgrounds, the miller-lite show at the canton civic theater and a small one at the canton fairgrounds till they combined, there was a tattoo and harley show at the canton fairgrounds..they are all gone, all i can find is 1 in springfeild oh.this weekend, too far and no$ now,and at the cleveland ix center in march,it looks like it is aimed more towards foregn bikes and offroad, racing.not really the kind of place i am interested in hanging out at..so what happened, did ebay kill them or are only shiney new bikes/parts acceptable now?the parts im looking for arnt going to be in any store, couldnt afford them there anyway..im looking for old forgoten parts dug out of a barn that i could clean up to get my bikes going

not confirmed, but a friend who works the yankee lake truck nights told me that the swap meet slowly died because of the promoters charging too much for table space, and door fees. Beer sales was the best draw , so he says. makes sense, wasn't it $20 to get in last time?

I hear you j1mmy, used to like going to those myself. Biggest thing now is at Mid-Ohio during the the vintage motorcycle weekend. If you need old, nos HD parts Bears in Ravenna has a lot of used stuff. He's always buying and selling. Check out his website if you've never been there. Cool place to check out, bought some stuff for my '77 Ironhead. Real nice guy that knows his ****.

Used to really enjoy the yankee lake swap meet and all the others that were around, here in N.W. Pa. I can't seem to find any either, if you hear of any let me know I'll ride over and check them out with ya.

Well I can tell you what happened to ALL the swap meets all over the country, Egay!
If I had a dollar for everytime I heard "These go for $$$$ on Ebay" I could buy Harley MoCo outright. I have been going to swap meets since I was a kid and after Ebay started you can find sh_t and when you do they want top dollar. Now it's all Taiwan tools and sham-wow's. I dont even bother anymore.
