Well the following links may get you started on the hunt:

I would imagine the stuff the astronaut was wearng for a month would be a bit more pricey than a welders cap or do-rag......!

I was thinking there must be something like a stretchy net that a roast comes wrapped in for cooking, (only heavier gauge and not so stretchy) to pull over the noggin and provide an air space between the helmet and head... or something like that.

I think US astronauts wear something like that underneath their outer space suit-- seems like I saw a pic of that somewhere-- not sure as it was too long ago..

A welder's cap works good.

I wear a do-rag under my helmet. With my Mediterranean heritage (read oily head) I'll destroy a helmet in 1 to 2 years max otherwise.

When I wear a helmet, I sometiems wear an underarmour beanie under it, but I mainly wear a helmet when it's cold, so not a big problem.

Bareback. I keep a hat in the bags when the helmet comes off.

I often wear a doo rag or a skull cap that I got from J & P. I tend to wear one when it is hot and I am sweating or when it is cold and I am cold. For moderate temperatures, it is helmet only.

my head is almost clean shaven, I use any type of wrap or what ever you want to call it Do rag, bandana, etc.... when I get to where I am going I hang it on one of the grips to let it kinda air dry. If there is sun where I am going I pull out cap from saddle bags so my head don't get to hot. But I always wear one no matter how hot.

I use a N I K E "dri-fit" skull cap, keeps my hair in place, plus it wicks the moisture away.
